The Carthage Area is alive and growing. There are new businesses and a growing population. The Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a number of community events throughout the year. Don't Miss Out!
- New Year's Baby Gift Basket - In conjunction with the Carthage Area Hospital and the Carthage Area Hospital Auxiliary, the Chamber puts together a gift basket of local business donations to welcome the first baby of each New Year at CAH.
- Winterfest - February 13, 2010. Every second Saturday in February, the community gathers together for sleigh rides, snow sculpting, cardboard sled races, snowmobile rides, food, music, and more in celebration of outdoor winter fun.
- Citizen of the Year Dinner - The Chamber co-hosts an annual spring (April) community dinner, with the BPOE Elks Lodge 1762, to honor an individual nominated for his/her volunteer service and dedication to the community.
- 2nd Annual Block Party May - Come enjoy fun, food, and festivities in West Carthage as we join some of our favorite businesses together to have a great time.
- Farmer's Market Opens In May - Beginning in May and running through October, every Friday the market offers farm-fresh produce, tasty homemade baked goods, and locally-made crafts, all located in a spacious pavilion. CLICK HERE FOR A LOOK AT THE CARTHAGE FARMERS MARKET.
- Community Trash and Treasure Days June - Summer wouldn't be the same without our community-wide garage and rummage sales, when the streets are packed with bargain-hunters from around the North Country, early June.
- Sounds of Summer July/August - Wednesday evenings summer concert series at the Carthage Village Green Park in the Town Center (rain location: Farmers Market Pavilion). 7 p.m.. Bring your chairs and enjoy.

- Summer Fireworks July 10, 2010 – The second Saturday in July, residents are treated to a display of dazzling fireworks over the Black River. Our fireworks have grown to become a “must see” event each summer. Events start at 4 p.m. with live bands, dancing performances, car show, Chicken BBQ and a silent auction.
- Twin Villages Community Picnic September 12, 2010 - 
The villages of Carthage and West Carthage, in association with the Chamber, host an annual family style picnic fostering a sense of community, with a special welcome to the military members and their families.

- Autumn Glory Fest - September. Our area's renowned fall foliage is showcased alongside our local Farmer's Market, and the agricultural industry that is so important to our community.

- Holiday Parade November 13, 2010- The Chamber kicks off the holiday season for its retail business members with a joyous and popular parade in November. 11:00AM N. Jefferson Street begins....ends at Carthage Elks Lodge.

- Memory Tree Lighting Ceremony December 8, 2010- Held every December in Turning Point Park, the ceremony commemorates loved ones and special people, with blue bulbs designated in memory of, or in honor of. To have your bulb, contact the Chamber at 493-3590
