Welcome Everyone! My name is Tammy Clement, your child's English teacher. This year I will be teaching English 11 and English 12.

I will use this webpage to send important information out to you regarding due dates, upcoming projects, etc.  The information you see here will correlate with the monthly calendars that are given to the kids. Ask your child what is going on - the calendar keeps them up to date. They will be given a calendar on the first day of class.

My rules and expectations are simple. Respect is a major issue for me in my classroom. I treat students with respect and expect the same in return. I ask that homework be done regularly. I am trying to ready your child for the world. School and its work is a job - their paycheck is their grade! By the time they graduate, they will be rich - with knowledge!

If, for what ever reason, you want to communicate with me, I am easy to reach. You can call the school at 483-5030 and leave a message for me to call you back. And even easier, email me at tclement@carthagecsd.org and I can communicate with you quickly. We can discuss school grades for your child or you can check on progress or maybe there is a planned absence you want me to be aware of. Whatever it may be, I encourage us to be in close contact. Email is a great way to keep the teacher and parent on the same page!

Notice that I have established sub pages, one for English 11 and the other for English 12. This is where I will post current unit information, upcoming due dates, and whatever else we are doing that is important. If you want to see it on paper, just ask your child for a copy of the class calendar. Hit the sub page and check out what interesting things are taking place in English this year!
